Pulling under braking is brake-related. Pulling at constant speed is alignment or tyre-related. Pulling under acceleration is suspension or steering.
In our network we see these in roughly this order. Diagnostic comes first — never authorise a repair without a written diagnostic report.
Pull at constant cruise. Wheel alignment (₹800-2,500) is a 45-minute fix. Also extends tyre life.
Subtle pull — pressure check (free) is the first step. Tyre replacement (in pairs) if wear pattern is severe.
Pull only when braking. Caliper rebuild (₹3,500-8,500) or replacement.
Pull worsens over bumps. Bushings, ball joints, or tie-rod ends. Inspection (free) confirms.
After: hitting a kerb / pothole, replacing tyres, replacing suspension, or noticing pulling. Routine: every 20,000 km.
Yes — feathering or cupping creates asymmetric grip. Often the result of misalignment in the first place.
Mild pulling: yes, but get aligned within a few weeks (uneven tyre wear is the bigger cost). Strong pulling under braking: no — fix immediately.
