Frequently asked questions
Why do I need an EV-specific workshop?
EVs have 400-800V battery packs that can kill an untrained technician. Specialist tools (insulation testers, isolation analysers, high-voltage gloves) and certifications are required. Going to a regular shop voids your warranty AND risks safety.
Will independent service void my warranty?
Routine service (cabin filter, brake fluid, tyres, regen brakes) at any verified workshop is fine. For battery or motor work under warranty, stay with the manufacturer to keep the warranty valid.
Which EVs do you cover?
Tesla (Model 3, Y, S, X), Tata (Nexon EV, Tigor EV, Punch EV), MG (ZS EV, Comet), BYD (Atto 3, Seal), Hyundai (Kona EV, Ioniq), Kia (EV6), and more. Workshops list which models they specialise in.
How is EV service different from petrol service?
EVs have far fewer moving parts. No oil change, no spark plugs, no timing belt, no exhaust. Service intervals are longer (often 12,000-15,000 km vs 5,000 km for petrol). Most EV maintenance is brakes, tyres, AC, and battery health checks.
